Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance, already one of the largest real estate firms in the area, has grown again with the purchase of Main Street Realtors.

Main Street has become known for representing high-end properties. Main Street was founded in 1992 in Long Beach.

The announcement was made Wednesday in front of the companies’ 340 sales associates. Phil Jones and Kris Conrad, managing partners at Coldwell Banker Coastal, and Geoff McIntosh, Main Street’s managing partner, spoke to the sales associates. The featured speaker was Coldwell Banker’s CEO, Charlie Young.

“Growth is essential in any business, and Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance’s acquisition of Main Street Realtors will further strengthen the Coldwell Banker brand presence in Long Beach and the surrounding communities,” Young said. “The Coldwell Banker brand has a rich history of serving home buyers and sellers in this area.”

Headquarters will continue to be at Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance’s main office at 1650 Ximeno Ave. There also will be offices at 244 Redondo Ave. in Long Beach and locations in Belmont Shore, Lakewood and Seal Beach.

McIntosh, who served as president of the California Association of Realtors in 2017, will stay with the firm as a Broker-Associate and consultant. His partner, Jean Shapen, will stay with the firm as an associate.

“I have known Phil and Kris for many years and we have a shared belief that growing a business should promote the community as well as the people who are affiliated with the company,” McIntosh said in a release. “We are very excited to move forward with Coastal Alliance.”
