Long Beach Realtor named RSAOR Realtor of the Year

Well it's taken me a week to 'brag a little'.  At the annual Christmas luncheon for the Rancho Southeast Association of Realtors, I was named the Realtor of the Year.  To get the full effect I have to tell you I had not planned to attend this luncheon.  I was scheduled to participate in a training class that day and had been registered for several months.  At the last minute my class was switched to a week later at another location.  I contacted the Association and asked if it was okay if I came to lunch?  No problem they said casually.  When I arrived they almost didn't let me in because I hadn't paid in advance and didn't have a reservation.  Sneaky devils.  So as I sat quietly in the back of the room with some affiliates I hadn't seen in a while, I was shocked when President Alex Torres called my name, well shocked is a little too mild.  When she presented the award she told me it was because my enthusiasm carried through the entire Board of Directors, my participation in the committees I chaired was infectious and my never say die attitude got everybody rallied around the task. I smiled in stunned silence.  For those that know me, silence --- hard to believe.  I think I still keep starring at that award in disbelief.  I was flatter, honored and more than a little skeptical - why me.  My husband, said stop questioning, enjoy the moment you've earned it.  So here's my bragging - dang I still can't believe it.  I hope you think I bring all those qualities to my work, I do try.
